Mission:
AI is one of the most exciting technologies today for Autonomous Driving. Combined with new sensors technologies, neural networks allow the vehicles to see and interpret the world, then to react accordingly.
The mission of this role is to help chart our AI strategy, by creating safe cutting-edge decision models to be deployed in Stellantis future vehicles.
More specifically, the mission consists in defining, implementing, and assessing such models at the best level of the market.
The role can be remote or preferably hybrid from Europe (France, Italy, Poland). You will join the “NextGen AI & AD team” within the Software AI team.
The mission includes the following activities:
• Define, develop, and train AI solutions of driving policy with safety constraints in mind.
• Demonstrate the contribution of these approaches to user-centered automotive functions on prototype vehicles
• Ensure the coherence and compatibility of the approaches worked on with the group's technological roadmaps, in particular the sensors and architecture configurations.
• Anticipate the needs for required evolutions and ensure the right level of information is shared to the other teams concerned.
• Contribute to the identification of emerging approaches in AI for AD/ADAS
Scope:
• Review state of the art methods and identify/rank high potential trends
• Build quick prototypes of AI systems in the cloud or at the edge (car, mobile phone) to demonstrate new AI solutions and their application to user-centric features for our next vehicles generations
• Produce new intellectual property to advance our technological edge.
• Support our brands by powering our concept cars with AI.

Profile

Skills and Competences:
• Experience: 3+ years building AI/ML capabilities at leading tech companies, OEMs and/or suppliers
• Strong background in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or a closely related field
• Experienced with AD/ADAS embedded systems implemented on vehicle prototypes
• Deep understanding of state-of-the-art AI development methodologies and frameworks, including TensorFlow and PyTorch
• Deep and up-to-date understanding of the auto AI ecosystem, including the competitive and start-up landscapes
• Focus on rapid, agile iteration that enables software-defined scaling to support current and future product needs
• Fluent English
