We are actively seeking an Applied Thermal Controls Product Owner to join our dynamic team in Tognana, Italy! The Controls Product Owner will lead multiple team scrums to define the product vision, roadmap, growth opportunities, and communicate with stakeholders throughout the project. He or she will play a pivotal role in the Thermal Controls organization, ensuring that the Voice of the Customer (VoC) represents the fundamental driver for the development teams. For this purpose, he or she will collaborate with internal and external contacts to analyze needs and align the product roadmap with strategic goals. He or she will work closely with product managers and business teams to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value, or Return of Investment (ROI), to understand competition and strategically position the thermal controls as a key differentiator for the overall product value. What kind of work will you be doing? Mapping the market and customers’ needs: Provide valuable Voice of the Customers to the software life-cycle development process and control product marketing with insights on key differentiators and messages. Drive and position the value of the Control Software deliverables both towards the company and the market. Manage profitability and commercial success—own the business case. Translating product managers’ strategies to tasks for development: Globally collaborate with the Product Offering Managers to understand Thermal Units vision and strategy. Collaborate with Controls Application Managers to translate high-level product goals into actionable software development epics. Managing and prioritizing the product backlog: Work closely with stakeholders to gather and prioritize controls requirements. Clearly define and document user stories, acceptance criteria, and feature specifications. Prioritize software development tasks based on business value, customer impact, and technical dependencies. Serving as a liaison between product and development: Liaise between Offering, Systems Engineering, Service, UI Design and Controls teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration. Act as a bridge between hardware, software, and cloud development teams, fostering a cohesive and integrated approach. Communicate the software development roadmap, ensuring alignment with overall product timelines. Collaborate with Controls Application teams to define validation plans and ensure the delivery of high-quality controls products. Provide controls product marketing with insights on key differentiators and messages. Must be willing to travel, mainly in EMEA region, as and when required, both for customer-facing and internal project reasons, averaging 1 week per quarter. What will make you successful? Five or more years of experience in product development; Knowledge of agile methodology for project management; Understanding of business value related to features and functions; Ability to effectively manage conflicting needs of stakeholders; Hands-on experience managing all stages of the product life cycle; Technical background with knowledge of software development and web technologies; BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or similar field.
