The application of proprietary methods and technologies, based on FOG (Fiber Optic Gyroscope) and MEMS (Micro Electro-Mechanical Systems) technology, enables the company to best meet the specific needs of its customers.Founded as a start-up in 2012 in Italy, listed company on Euronext Milan since 2022 and now part of Honeywell (acquisition and delisted completed in August 2024).Job descriptionOur Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) team is looking for an engineer with knowledge of modelling aerospace avionic systems, developing and prototyping related algorithms for new product verification and validation. The candidate will join the company in Casoria’s offices and will take responsibility for the design, development, and test of numerical models and GNC navigation algorithms to be integrated in new Civitanavi Systems products.DutiesThe selected candidate will be included in the GNC team and will be part of a multidisciplinary team with experience on modelling and simulation of aerospace systems, development of Guidance, Navigation and Control algorithms, and multi-sensor navigation units. The selected candidate will take the following responsibilities:Analysis of features related to key avionic systems (autopilot, Flight management systems, etc.) and navigation sensors (i.e. gyroscopes, Accelerometers, GNSS receivers, LIDARs, Radars, etc.) for detailed numerical modelling.Modelling and implementation of the most used digital interface protocols in the aerospace sector (ARINC 429, CAN, AFDX, etc.) in an HW-in-the-Loop Simulation equipment.Definition of requirements, design, modeling, and prototyping of Guidance, Navigation and Control algorithms in Matlab/Simulink or similar environment.Support the definition of verification and validation test plans, system prototyping, HW-in-the-Loop Simulation set-up, execution of test campaigns and analysis of results.Support to software coding, testing and qualification of the assured and alternative navigation algorithms.SkillsMaster’s degree in Aerospace, Computer Science, or Robotics/Automation Engineering.Consolidated knowledge in the use of programming languages and tools for modeling, algorithm development and implementation, such as C/C++, Matlab/Simulink or similar.Knowledge of digital signal processing fundamentals and related computer processing architectures.Knowledge of the aerospace avionic systems and architecture for both aeronautical and space applications.Able to work autonomously and/or in team.Attitude to problem solving and to achieve results within time and cost constraints.Good knowledge of English in writing and speaking (the knowledge of additional languages is a plus). #J-18808-Ljbffr
