We are looking for a motivated Banquet Supervisor to join our pre-opening team.The role will report to the Director of Food Beverage. Conveniently located adjacent to Rome Termini Station and a short distance from the Colosseum, the 238-room Hyatt Regency Rome Central is a contemporary 5-star hotel offering premium business services and one of Italy’s most dazzling leisure rooftop experiences.The hotel is also featuring a SPA, 5 food beverages outlets and more than 1000 sqm events venues.Main duties and responsibilitiesOversee the setup, execution and breakdown of all meetings, events, and banquets, ensuring alignment with event orders and hotel standards.Supervise operations across 5 meeting rooms and 1 ballroom, with capacities up to 500 guests.Act as on-site contact for clients and event organizers during functions.Lead pre-shift briefings with permanent and casual staff to align on responsibilities, standards, and guest expectations.Ensure mise en place is completed prior to each event, including coffee breaks, buffets, stations, and AV setup.Coordinate last-minute changes efficiently and maintain flexibility under pressure.Guarantee smooth transition between consecutive events or multiple set-ups in the same day.Work closely with MICE and Sales team to understand client needs and anticipate special requests.Maintain constant communication with Kitchen, Stewarding, Housekeeping, Engineering, and Front Office to ensure synchronized service delivery.Attend daily FB and weekly function meetings to provide updates and gather operational insights.Create weekly schedules in collaboration with the Assistant FB Manager.Ensure proper handling, maintenance and storage of all banquet equipment and supplies.Promote a courteous and professional environment for all guests and clients.Whenever possible support FB service team on RB operation. Skills and requirements:Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role in an upscale or luxury hotel environment.Excellent written and verbal communication in both Italian and English.Proficient in the use of Simphony POS and Microsoft Office Suite.Strong leadership, organizational and time-management skills.Deep knowledge of banqueting standards, event service styles and operational logistics.Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidaysPhysically able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 kgWhat we offerA stimulating and collaborative work environment in a 5 star hotel.Opportunities for professional growth and development.Competitive salary package.
