Barry Callebaut is a global organization poised for growth; a company which has embraced the vision to delight its customers, while out-performing its competitors, a business which is committed to sustainability, has innovation in its DNA, is a leader in complex manufacturing and supply chain solutions and is focused on being a best-in-class employer.Barry Callebaut seeks diverse and passionate people who thrive in a dynamic environment, focused on continuous learning, living BC’s Values and of course loving chocolate.For our plant based in San Sisto (PG) we are looking for a Buyer Indirect Spend.ScopeWithin the local company strategy and working according to the BC sourcing policy for indirect spend, the buyer indirect spend:manages all indirect spend for Italy plant (Opex and Capex), looking for both short term opportunities through spot buy reduction and long term opportunities through strategic sourcing activity;supports projects from a sourcing perspective for the other Italian plant on an ad hoc basis, depending on the needs and investments of the plant;represents the BC sourcing department in the indirect spend area for Italy plant (San Sisto) for both technical and non-technical spend, advocating procurement and sourcing, demonstrating added value for BC;spreads and implements purchasing processes as a constant reference for stakeholders and internal customers;builds and maintains Supplier relationships with the objective of reducing costs, eliminating inefficiencies throughout the Procurement Cycle and being a representative of our company’s core values;analyzes the market finding for opportunities to improve the suppliers base with the best possible alternatives according to the sourcing policy;develops strategies and tactics – together with the business - to give our company a competitive advantage in either technology or cost.The jobholder reports directly to the Purchasing Director Indirect Spend Western Europe.Qualifications RequiredEDUCATIONMaster degreePurchasing Certificate / Degree Or Relevant Work ExperienceAdvanced training in MS Office (Word, Excel) and SAP, Maximo a plusLanguages: Italian, English (mandatory)ExperiencePurchasing in indirect environment in food, pharma or chemical industry min 3-5 yearsHigh level of knowledge in purchasing methodologyHigh level of knowledge in Purchasing Excel, SAP and or MaximoKNOWLEDGE OF SPECIFIC BUSINESS UNDERSTANDINGKnowledge Of Purchasing Processes, Proven Negotiation Skills, Analytical CapabilitiesStrong communication, planning, organization, analytical and problem solving skillsLOCATION: San Sisto- Perugia (Hybrid)TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 10%-20%At Barry Callebaut, we are committed to Diversity Inclusion.
