ANDRITZ Diatec is since 2018 part of the ANDRITZ Group. ANDRITZ Diatec S.R.L. is a leading manufacturer of converting machines for the hygiene and food packaging industries based in Collecorvino in the region of Pescara, Italy. Diatec designs and manufactures a wide range of special machines and technological solutions, mainly for the production of baby diapers and other absorbent hygiene products, but also for food packaging. About the Role
Role of a HEAD OF FINANCE AND CONTROLLING in the business is to act as a business partner who not only collaborates with all functions to deliver realistic forecast and highlight risk and opportunities but also drives business performance, oversee and review daily Controlling, Accounting, Taxes and Treasury operations. He is part of the Management Team in the company and within the Divisional Finance Team with direct report to Nonwowen & Textile Division CFO and functionally to the local Operational Managing Director. He should be leading all Project reviews, leading and performing internal projects for process improvements, driving cost out actions, leading commercial actions, contract management, working capital management, claim management, Risk and Opportunity assessment and mitigation actions.
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and support to Accounting and Controlling team members, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to help team members grow and improve.
- Facilitate team meetings to discuss goals, progress, and any challenges the team may be facing.
- Coordinate training and development opportunities to ensure team members have the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in their roles.
- Lead and/or actively support special development projects.
- Lead and perform Budgeting, Forecasting, Cost reviews, Sales and Project Cost review including required reporting to the headquarters.
- Lead Reviews for all Cost deviations and identify opportunities along with execution team to mitigate risk.
- Review Cost Estimations by the Business Department; assess financial risks within the proposals submitted, and bring value added.
- Preparation and Review of the financial statements (both IFRS and ITA GAAP), tax calculation (in collaboration with an external fiscal advisor) and related reports (Local Statutory and Group Reporting) including review of account balances.
- Preparation of Reports and statistical reporting is such as Cash Flow, Cash Position Reports, Status of Guarantees.
- Ensuring processing of Cost Accounting, General Ledger accounting, Bank Accounting, fixed asset Accounting, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Accounting.
- Ensure the recording of cash receipts and bank deposits.
- Performs monthly reconciliations of bank accounts.
- Ensure preparation of bank transfers and that all bills and invoices are paid on schedule.
- Ensure timely payment of salaries and related charges for social contributions, taxes (direct and indirect) and any other tax burden through the F24 payment form.
- Preparation and analysis of reporting for the Group on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Contracts review from a financial perspective.
- Support the Global Nonwoven and Textile (PNT) Finance Organization within own responsibility such as Transfer Pricing Topics.
- Support functions to the Operations Processes such as ensuring the issuing invoices to customers relating to goods and advance payments.
- Manage the quarterly and annual external audit, acting as primary liaison with external auditors, ensuring all necessary reconciliations prepared upon arrival of the auditors, and providing needed schedules and documents for audit and tax return purposes.
- Primary contact person for external parties such as auditor, tax consultants but also internal within the group for Group Controlling, Nonwoven Finance, Group Treasury etc.
- Maintain all required insurance policies including but not limited to liability, vehicle, Workers’ Compensation, etc.
Qualifications
- Education: University Degree
- Experience: audit background of Big4 +5 year experience in the same role (highly preferred in manufacturing / plant engineering industry).
- Languages: Fluent English communication

- Previous SAP experience preferred
