During the COVID-19 pandemic, Diatec demonstrated agility by manufacturing Face Mask Machines on short notice. About the Role The HEAD OF FINANCE AND CONTROLLING is a key business partner responsible for collaborating across functions to deliver accurate forecasts, identify risks and opportunities, and drive business performance. The role oversees daily Controlling, Accounting, Taxes, and Treasury operations. As part of the Management Team and the Divisional Finance Team, reporting directly to the Nonwoven Textile Division CFO and functionally to the local Operational Managing Director, the role involves leading project reviews, process improvement initiatives, cost reduction actions, commercial strategies, contract and working capital management, claim handling, risk assessment, and opportunity mitigation. Responsibilities Provide guidance and support to the Accounting and Controlling teams, addressing issues promptly. Conduct performance reviews and offer constructive feedback for team development. Facilitate team meetings to discuss goals, progress, and challenges. Coordinate training and development for team members. Lead or support special development projects. Manage Budgeting, Forecasting, Cost reviews, and reporting to headquarters. Review cost deviations and identify mitigation opportunities. Assess financial risks in cost estimations submitted by the Business Department. Prepare and review financial statements (IFRS and ITA GAAP), tax calculations, and related reports. Generate reports such as Cash Flow, Cash Position, and Guarantee status. Ensure proper processing of Cost Accounting, General Ledger, Bank, Fixed Assets, Accounts Receivable, and Payable. Record cash receipts and bank deposits, perform monthly bank reconciliations. Ensure timely payments of salaries, taxes, social contributions, and other charges. Prepare and analyze group reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis. Review financial contracts. Support Transfer Pricing and other functions related to the Nonwoven and Textile division. Assist operational processes like invoicing and advance payments. Manage external audits, liaising with auditors and providing necessary documentation. Serve as the primary contact for external and internal stakeholders such as auditors and tax consultants. Maintain insurance policies including liability, vehicle, and workers’ compensation.
