Position Summary What is your role? For our largest Business Unit Friction Technologies, dedicated to brake pads production with a global presence, we’re looking for a CFO to join our Finance team in Barge (CN). In this role, you will partner with the CFO - Motion Technologies and the Friction Technologies General Manager to provide the strategic leadership for the business in close collaboration with the leadership team. You will lead and develop the finance organization to provide in-depth and actionable analysis for strategic planning, whilst ensuring control on all aspects of financial risk management. Who are we? Essential Responsibilities Key accountabilities and responsibilities finance operations: Ensure the integrity, reliability and clarity of financial reporting Manage efficient financial reporting and support understanding of underlying financial performance Drive financial performance of the business and support General Manager and business with timely and quality decision-making, proper and insightful financial analysis and deploy strategic actions Act as the voice of headquarters when implementing financial and company policies locally/regionally Collaborate with MT and HQ functions with relevant and timely information Implement and maintain appropriate control environment in the business unit Actively sponsor any strategic investment project from inception to final implementation Drive the decision-making process and business profitability improvement: Support and work effectively with business leaders to improve fundamentals and advance strategy Support business development function to define and implement inorganic strategy Support global operational excellence initiatives, including driving action plans and benefits Support business units to define production capacity planning and ensure optimized utilization Contribute to FT strategic roadmap by bringing to light best options to ground sustainable performance Support growth strategy: Ensure profitable growth and maintain robust process around new business acquisition Support deployment of value-based commercial excellence Support aftermarket growth strategy through penetration of new geographies Leadership and management: Elaborate and implement a global vision for the finance team Lead continuous improvement efforts to address bottlenecks and drive efficiencies in the finance organization Develop and implement succession planning and talent development Display an inspiring, adaptive leadership style with a hands-on approach Reinforce and monitor proper implementation of General Manager’s guidance and direction Position Requirements Key requirements: Currently CFO or Financial Executive in a manufacturing company with a global or a large regional perimeter and at least one international assignment in career Relevant experience in the areas of financial planning, financial analysis and strategy in industrial environments Degree in Economics or related fields; MBA would be a plus Strong accounting skills and/or an internal controls background, preferably with industrial controlling experience Has actively been part of large transformational projects (e.g.: ERP implementation, plant closures, greenfield, M&A…) Fluent in English and Italian. Any other languages would be an asset Capable of easily switching from strategic thinking to tactical, very execution oriented Focused on talent, experienced in managing teams and in elaborating actionable development plans Strong work ethic, ability to articulate and defend own opinion and promote best ideas, effective communicator Works well under pressure, fosters collaboration, knows how to drive change What do we offer?
