An external service provider is sought for the configuration, management, and operation of a cloud-based infrastructure for a research and investigatory unit within a large European organization. The provider will be responsible for setting up and maintaining production cloud environments used by 30-40 staff members, including desktop virtualization, machine learning services, and multi-cloud integration.Key Responsibilities:Design, implement, and manage cloud environments and desktop virtualization systems (VMWare).Deploy and maintain cloud-based services, especially for data science and AI activities.Set up and configure virtual machines based on Linux OS, and ensure optimal performance.Integrate multi-cloud and hybrid cloud/on-premise solutions.Provide technical support, ensuring compliance with security protocols.Participate in technical meetings and working groups.Required Skills and Expertise:Strong knowledge of cloud architectures and virtualization (VMWare, AWS, Azure).Experience with high-end GPUs and data science services in the cloud.Familiarity with automation tools (DevOps, Infrastructure as Code).Expertise in cloud security best practices and user authentication technologies.Ability to document technical solutions and collaborate in a multicultural team.Education Certifications:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (Level 6 of European Qualification Framework).Relevant cloud and security certifications are beneficial.Additional Skills:Strong English language skills (B2).Ability to work in an international, fast-paced environment while maintaining discretion and integrity.
