Duties
- Performs culinary tasks including roasting, broiling, baking, frying, boiling, steaming, and stewing meats, fish, and poultry.
- Prepares soups, stocks, broths, gravies, sauces, and puddings without packaged mixes.
- Adjusts recipes for different serving sizes, conducts yield testing, and prepares cold food platters, salads, hors d'oeuvres, and garnishes.
- Coordinates multiple cooking processes to prepare complete meals on time and at proper temperatures.
- Performs additional related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Background investigation with favorable results.
- Physical ability to lift as required, confirmed by a pre-employment physical.
- Pre-employment drug screening and random testing thereafter.
Qualifications
Open to all applicants who meet the eligibility criteria, including US citizens or NATO country citizens with a valid US permanent resident card and Social Security Number. Must be able to provide documentation proving residence status overseas. Experience must include food preparation principles and planning, and be gained in relevant food service settings such as restaurants or similar establishments.
