Description:

The Department of Cannabis Control (DCC) is a California stateagency that licenses and regulates cannabis businesses. The DCCregulates the growing of cannabis plants, manufacturing ofcannabis products, transportation and tracking of cannabis goodsthroughout the state, and the sale of cannabis goods. TheLicensing Deputy Director role is a critical part of our largerexecutive team and must be strongly committed to facilitating awell-regulated, legal market through innovative policies andeffective implementation. The Licensing Division is responsiblefor administering application review, license issuance, renewal,and modifications; providing technical assistance and support toapplicants and licensees; engaging and working closely with localjurisdictions; coordinating license actions with compliance andenforcement; and providing enhanced assistance to equityapplicants and licensees. The Division works in closecoordination with other state and local agencies responsible forthe permitting or licensing of cannabis businesses.

Qualifications:

1. Experience developing, implementing, and evaluating programs2. Experience leading and working with diverse, professional highachieving teams 3. Experience administering program or projectresources (human resources, contracts, and budgets) 4. Experiencecollaborating and working with diverse stakeholders on complexregulatory issues
