In this role, you will support Elastic on-premises deployments, assist with system migrations, and contribute to the automation and optimization of infrastructure. Fluency in German is required to work with German-speaking clients and stakeholders effectively.What you'll be doingElastic Infrastructure Management:Deploy, configure, and maintain Elastic Stack components (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Beats) in on-premises environmentsEnsure high availability, scalability, and security of Elastic systemsSystem Migration:Plan, execute, and monitor system migration projects, including data migration and environment reconfigurationDevelop and document migration strategies, ensuring minimal downtime and seamless transitionsAutomation and Optimization:Design and implement automation pipelines (CI/CD) to streamline Elastic deployments and updatesMonitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimization measuresInfrastructure as Code (IaC):Use tools like Ansible and Terraform to manage and automate infrastructure provisioning and configurationMaintain version-controlled configurations for Elastic and related systemsCollaboration and Support:Work with clients to understand requirements and provide solutionsProvide Tier 2/3 support for Elastic-related issues, escalating to Elastic’s official support channels as neededOn-call support is neededDocumentation and Knowledge Sharing:Create and maintain technical documentation, including runbooks, architecture diagrams, and troubleshooting guidesDeliver training and knowledge transfer sessions to internal teams and clientsWhat you'll bring alongBachelor’s degree in Informatics or similar field of study, or equivalent working experience is requiredA minimum of 3-5 years demonstrable experience in a similar role is requiredElastic Stack: In-depth knowledge of Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, and their on-premises deploymentDevOps Tools: Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, etc.) and automation frameworks (Ansible, Terraform)Containerization: Experience with Docker and orchestration tools like KubernetesScripting: Proficient in Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages for automation and task executionSystem Administration: Strong knowledge of Linux systems and networking conceptsHands-on experience with system migrations in complex environmentsExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in German and EnglishWhat’s in it for youNew beginnings can be a challenge.
