Job Summary:

Purpose of the position:

The engineer will be responsible for deploying the digitalization of production workshops. As part of a team, he/she will be required to structure the projects entrusted or initiated by integrating Lean and Agile concepts and tools. Interacting with existing systems (e.g. plc machines) he'll have to develop a data collection and analysis system in order to improve automation. His/her mission will be to identify new technologies for the factory of the future, possible innovation scenarios, and implement them for the development of Industry 4.0.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

• Understand the structure, relationship and business rules of the organization to identify the linkages between its strategies, people, business, data and systems
• Analyse the business as is versus the requirements and change it, using a variety of techniques and initiatives of varying scope
• Manage the concept phase and framing of the project to support and guide the development of system requirements and business cases
• Maintain software created to sustain business and, in the same time, develop software to support business cases and enhance automation through software-machine interfaces
• Delivery of high-level business requirements, functional and non-functional requirements, detailed requirements, build and development support also during test and delivery phase and change management
• Support and identify digitalization project
• Carry out 4.0 and digital solutions to contribute to operational excellence
• Participate in the development of the continuous improvement culture using our digital tools, contributing to the digital transformation
• Optimize the performance of the production lines through the analysis of data and digital transformation

Qualifications:

• Electronic, IT, Automation or Communication Design engineer, master degree will be preferable
• At least 2 years of experience in similar role in manufacturing company

Technical Skills:

• Very good level of Italian and English (read, spoken, written).
• Continuous improvement skills
• Knowledge in industrial IT
• Appetence for IOT
• Microsoft Office (Power BI, Forms, Power Automate, Power Apps, Excel Macro)
• Strong experience in programming (database)
• Strong experience in software machine interface and PLC interface
• Written and oral communication skills for project presentations
• Organizational qualities
• Analytical skills
