pThe project: /ppTerra Innovatum's mission is to make nuclear power accessible. We deliver simple and safe micro-reactor solutions that are scalable, affordable and deployable anywhere 1 Mwe at a time. /ppYou will be joining a fast-growing scaleup developing SOLO – a micro modular reactor – able to provide clean energy and radioisotopes where it is needed. You will be supporting the reactor licensing process in the US at first. /ppYou will support the founding team to scaleup to a leading tech company supplying much needed energy solutions globally. /ppThis is a unique opportunity to join a high performance team developing a global energy solutions leader. /ppWhat you will be working on /ppTerra Innovatum Electrical Engineer will be: /pulliresponsible for designing, maintaining, and ensuring the safe and reliable operation of electrical systems within nuclear power plants, research facilities, and other nuclear installations. /liliworking with high-voltage power distribution, emergency backup systems, instrumentation and control (IC) systems, and regulatory compliance to ensure uninterrupted and safe plant operations /lilicollaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including reactor operators, regulatory agencies, and maintenance personnel, to optimize performance and safety /li /ulpPotential next steps /ppAs the company is growing fast and plans international expansion in 2026, the right candidate will be considered for regional and/or global responsibility. /ppWhat you will be in charge of: /pulliDesigning, analyzing, and optimizing electrical systems, including power distribution, transformers, switchgear, and emergency backup systems. /liliEnsuring compliance with NRC (Nuclear Regulatory Commission), IEEE, ANSI, and other regulatory and safety standards. /liliMaintaining and troubleshooting plant electrical systems to prevent failures and minimize downtime. /liliDeveloping and implementing electrical safety protocols, testing procedures, and maintenance schedules. /liliWorking with instrumentation and control (IC) systems for reactor monitoring, automation, and safety mechanisms. /liliSupporting plant modifications, system upgrades, and retrofits to enhance efficiency and regulatory compliance. /liliConducting fault analysis, power flow studies, and protective relaying coordination for electrical systems. /liliCollaborating with reactor engineers, civil engineers, and safety specialists to integrate electrical components into plant designs. /liliAssisting in regulatory audits, inspections, and documentation related to electrical systems. /liliProviding technical support and training to plant operators and maintenance teams regarding electrical safety and operations. /li /ulpWho we want to work with: /pulliEducation: Master degree in Electrical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or a related field. /liliExperience: 3-7 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in nuclear, power generation, or industrial environments (entry-level positions may require internships or co-op experience). /liliCertifications (Preferred): PE (Professional Engineer) license, IEEE certifications, or NRC-related qualifications. /liliStrong understanding of power generation, distribution, and electrical system reliability. /liliProficiency in electrical design and analysis software (e.g., ETAP, SKM PowerTools, AutoCAD Electrical). /liliKnowledge of nuclear safety standards, regulatory compliance, and emergency power systems. /liliFamiliarity with digital and analog control systems, instrumentation, and automation in nuclear facilities. /liliStrong problem-solving and analytical abilities. /liliEffective communication and teamwork skills for collaboration with engineers, operators, and regulatory agencies. /liliAttention to detail and a strong commitment to nuclear safety and compliance. /liliAbility to work in high-pressure environments and manage multiple projects. /liliExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English /li /ulpPreferred: /pulliIPO experience /liliWritten and oral fluency in Italian /liliAbility to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization /li /ul
