Reporting to the Country Real Estate Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, operation, and optimization of the facility's infrastructure and systems. Your role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the production site while adhering to standards and safety regulations.Main Responsibilities:Manage day-to-day facility operations, including building maintenance and utilities.Develop and monitor Occupancy cost budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising safety or quality.Ensure compliance with local, regional, and international regulations, codes, and safety standards.Identify potential risks, develop contingency plans, and implement preventative measures to mitigate operational disruptions and maintain a safe working environment.Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and service providers to facilitate repairs, maintenance, and facility improvement projects.Supervise and support facility staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.Collaborate with various departments to optimize facility layout, workspace allocation, and resource utilization to enhance operational efficiency.Implement company sustainable practices and initiatives to reduce environmental impact and energy consumption within the facility.Maintain accurate records, generate reports, and effectively communicate facility-related updates to stakeholders and management.Work together with the local BU stakeholders in planning real estate and facility improvement projects, provide and monitor Capex budget, act as PM for the delivery of planned ones.Drive and implement country and/or international company’s initiatives.Build and act as trusted partner with the Landlord, organize and track activities that requires Landlord action or support and according the existing contract.Your BackgroundBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil/Building Engineering or relevant field.Minimum 5 years experience in facility management, preferably within a production or manufacturing environment.Strong understanding of facility management principles, building systems, equipment maintenance, and safety protocols. Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to manufacturing facilities.Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address facility-related challenges and implement effective solutions.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines effectively.Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances, operational demands, and emerging technologies within the real estate and facility management field.Very good computer literacy (MS Office and Autocad).Very good written & spoken English and Italian.About UsHitachi brings together the world’s greatest minds to help breathe life into new possibilities – and drive innovation for a better future.
