You will be supporting the reactor licensing process in the US at first. /ppYou will support the founding team to scaleup to a leading tech company supplying much needed energy solutions globally. /ppThis is a unique opportunity to join a high performance team developing a global energy solutions leader. /ppWhat you will be working on /ppTerra Innovatum Fluid Systems Engineer will be: /pulliresponsible for the design, analysis, and optimization of fluid-based systems in nuclear power plants, research reactors, and other nuclear facilities /liliensuring the safe and efficient operation of cooling, steam, and hydraulic systems while maintaining strict compliance with nuclear safety and regulatory standards /liliworking closely with reactor engineers, regulatory agencies, and maintenance teams to develop and improve system performance, reliability, and safety /li /ulpPotential next steps /ppAs the company is growing fast and plans international expansion in 2026, the right candidate will be considered for regional and/or global responsibility. /ppWhat you will be in charge off: /pulliDesigning, analyzing, and optimizing nuclear fluid systems, including reactor coolant, steam generation, condensate, and hydraulic systems. /liliConducting thermal-hydraulic modeling, flow analysis, and pressure drop calculations to ensure system efficiency and safety. /liliDeveloping and maintaining system documentation, including flow diagrams, PIDs, operating procedures, and safety reports /liliPerforming system reliability assessments, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for fluid system failures. /liliEnsuring compliance with NRC (Nuclear Regulatory Commission) regulations, ASME codes, and other industry standards. /liliCollaborating with reactor engineers, safety specialists, and regulatory bodies to enhance fluid system performance. /liliSupporting the testing, commissioning, and maintenance of fluid systems in nuclear facilities. /liliAssisting in plant modifications, upgrades, and retrofits for improved efficiency and regulatory compliance. /liliEvaluating material compatibility and corrosion effects to ensure long-term fluid system integrity. /liliProviding technical support and training to plant operators and maintenance personnel. /li /ulpWho we want to work with: /pulliEducation: Master degree in Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or a related field. /liliExperience: 3-7 years of experience in fluid system design, thermal-hydraulic analysis, or nuclear plant operations (entry-level positions may require internships or co-op experience). /liliCertifications (Preferred): PE (Professional Engineer) license, ASME Boiler Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC) certification, or equivalent industry credentials. /liliExpertise in fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer principles. /liliProficiency in hydraulic modeling and simulation software (e.g., ANSYS Fluent, STAR CCM+, Flowmaster). /liliKnowledge of nuclear reactor coolant systems, heat exchangers, and steam turbines. /liliFamiliarity with ASME BPVC, NRC regulatory requirements, and ANSI standards for nuclear fluid systems. /liliExperience with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) while with finite element analysis (FEA) is a plus. /liliStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities. /liliEffective communication and teamwork skills for collaboration with engineers, operators, and regulatory agencies. /liliAttention to detail and a commitment to nuclear safety and compliance. /liliAbility to work under pressure and manage multiple projects with strict deadlines. /liliExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English /li /ulpPreferred: /pulliPhD degree /liliIPO experience /liliWritten and oral fluency in Italian /liliAbility to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization /li /ul
