ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Hardware Designer to join our Research & Development Department, specifically within the Hardware Design Team.

The candidate will join the team responsible for the development and maintenance of hardware solutions for complex laser systems. He/She will work closely with Mechanical Designers, Firmware Designers, and Project Managers, actively participating in all stages of the development cycle, from requirements definition through to product release and maintenance.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Requirements definition
• Design and development of power and control electronic boards (both digital and analog)
• Component selection and creation of eBOM
• Research and integration of sensors
• Debugging and functional verification of electronic boards
• Writing technical documentation

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

To successfully carry out the required activities, we are looking for candidates with:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field
• At least 2 years of experience in hardware design, component selection, schematic design, and PCB layout support
• Good knowledge of written and spoken English and Italian
• Passion for technology and innovation
• Good teamwork skills, with the ability to listen and support colleagues
• Attention to detail and the ability to manage deadlines effectively

Technical Skills Required:

• Proficiency with at least one schematic entry tool (Eagle Layout Editor, Altium, etc.)
• Familiarity with laboratory tools for debugging and troubleshooting sample boards
• Experience with the bring-up of electronic boards

Will be considered a plus:

• Knowledge of power/high voltage electronics
• Knowledge of radiofrequency electronics
• Experience in designing electronic board layouts
• Familiarity with simulation software (LTspice, TINA-TI, eDesignSuite, etc.)
• Basic knowledge in developing firmware for microcontrollers
• Experience with conducted and radiated emission/susceptibility testing (electromagnetic compatibility)
• Knowledge of industry standards for medical devices (ISO 13485, IEC 60601)
