Located in the heart of Tuscany, Relais Borgo Santo Pietro estate, also characterized by its 'farm to plate' philosophy, is a five-star Resort that stands on approximately 120 hectares of cultivated land and gardens. The estate includes gardens, vegetable gardens, and medicinal plants where our staff works every day to produce fruits, vegetables, and aromatic and medicinal herbs according to the principles of organic farming. In particular, the mineral rich soil already known to have curative properties at the time of the crusades, benefits the herbs that are used in the formulation of a cosmetic line of natural body care and skincare products, Seed to Skin Tuscany.

Seed to Skin Tuscany is a rapidly expanding luxury brand. Produced in our in-house state of the art lab on the Borgo Santo Pietro estate in Tuscany, Seed to Skin is a unique skincare range expertly formulated by combining natural ingredients with advanced molecular science to harness the true power of nature.

We are seeking a full-time experienced hands-on Herbalist with an in-depth knowledge of herbs and their properties, to collaborate with our herb farm and skincare brand Seed to Skin Tuscany.

Main Responsibilities:

• Oversee the estates’ herb production including devising the ideal planting location, soils and harvesting times.
• Advice on the production of essential oils and the drying process for herbal teas.
• Research and assist in botanical formulations for our skincare brand Seed to Skin Tuscany.
• Perform consultation for our clients.

Candidate profile:

• A graduate degree in a health science.
• Background in the use of herbs for skin formulations.
• Superior knowledge of herbs and their beneficial properties both for the skincare sector and for general uses.
• Good level of English is required.
