Description Your Role As part of our growth journey, Affinity Petcare is setting up a second factory in Italy (Mantova). We are looking for a HR Generalist to join our HR team in Italy, reporting to the local HR Manager. The mission for this role will be to focus on the set-up end to end of the new factory team and put Affinity HR processes in place in this new environment, in collaboration with the Italian HR Manager. This involves handling employee records, assisting in the recruitment process, coordinating training programs, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and regulations. We are looking for a qualified and resourceful human resources professional, with strong people orientation, detail-oriented and good organizational skills who can handle a variety of tasks and support HR initiatives. Proactivity, strong communication skills and a commitment to maintaining accurate and efficient HR processes are also skills required for this position. What you will do Recruitment: Assist in posting job vacancies on various platforms and company websites. Screen resumes and schedule interviews with candidates. Interview candidates in order to ensure the optimal fit with the position requirements and the Company culture. Assist in the onboarding process, preparing new hire documents, and conducting onboarding sessions. Employee Records Management: Assist in the management of HR information systems (HRIS) and ensure data integrity. Training and Development Coordination: Support the planning and execution of training programs for new hires and existing employees. Coordinate training schedules, materials, and logistics. Maintain training records and track employee progress. Compensation and Benefits Administration: Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs. Help with the preparation of payroll data and ensure accuracy in compensation records. Provide support in responding to employee inquiries about benefits and compensation. Compliance and Policy Implementation: Ensure compliance with all HR policies and procedures. Assist in the preparation and updating of employee handbooks and policy manuals. Support the implementation of health, safety, and regulatory compliance initiatives. Employee Relations Support: Assist in addressing employee inquiries and resolving basic HR-related issues. Help organize employee engagement activities and events. Support the HR Manager in handling employee grievances and disciplinary actions. General Administrative Support: Prepare HR reports and presentations as needed. Coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for the HR team. Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by the HR Manager. What we are looking for Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications or coursework in HR management is a plus. Experience: 2-3 years of experience in an HR role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Experience in recruitment of technical profiles. Experience with HR information systems (HRIS) and applicant tracking systems (ATS) is preferred. Skills: Good level of English is mandatory for communication with HQ. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong multitasking abilities and ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Proactive and willing to take initiative in addressing issues and finding solutions. Positive attitude and willingness to support various HR functions.
