Job Description:
The Dr. Lillian R. Goodman Department of Nursing at Worcester State University is pleased to invite applications for multiple 9-month, full time, tenure track nursing faculty positions to start in the Fall of 2023. The faculty members will be responsible for providing effective learning in the classroom, clinical and/or laboratory. All faculty members must have experience in the clinical area of their expertise and will be required to facilitate experiences for students in the clinical setting/outside agencies. The role of the faculty also requires dedication and commitment to membership and committee service at the department and university organizational levels, student advising in all levels of the program, mentorship engagement, and participation in annual scholarly endeavors. Active engagement in development and evaluation of program curriculum and outcomes; as well as maintenance and oversight of accreditation standards is an essential obligation. Regular attendance at department and university events and functions is an expectation of all full-time faculty.
Requirements:
An earned doctorate in nursing is preferred and will be required within 5 years of hire for tenure-track candidates. All candidates must have a master’s degree in nursing, and must be eligible for RN licensure in Massachusetts. Teaching experience in higher education and experience with web-enhanced and online teaching is preferred. An active program of research/scholarship is highly desired. Our current teaching needs are in all undergraduate areas and specialties. Experience and expertise across varied curriculum areas and in respective clinical areas is strongly preferred.
