Job Description - Junior Financial Controller

GroupM is looking for a Junior Financial Controller who will be involved in supporting the Financial Control and Reporting team in all activities regarding financial planning, analysis, and reporting. He/She will actively participate in all key financial processes: month/quarter/year ends, business reviews, forecasting, and budgeting, and will therefore have daily interactions with the wider Finance team, mainly administration and agency Finance.

We expect the candidate to also engage and interact outside the Finance community, analyze, and communicate business results to key stakeholders, and participate in the continuous improvement of our internal processes.

• Support to month end closure activities and reconciliations
• Preparation of month end reporting packages and relevant documentation
• Actual data analysis, key deviations from budget/previous year
• Support to financial planning cycle: data collection, template automation and consolidation, related reporting activities

• The candidate should be a graduate, preferably with a Master’s Degree in Business or Economics studies
• Good command of English both written and spoken
• Basic accounting knowledge
• Strong analytical skills and detail-oriented
• Excellent organizational & multi-tasking skills
• Good interpersonal skills and keen to work in a fast-paced environment
• Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• 1 or 2 years previous experience in Finance Controlling in Media Industry or Audit will be a plus
• Hard worker
• Able to work in a team
• Passionate
