Job title: Lab TechnicianDepartment: Research DevelopmentPlace of work: Headquarter, FlorenceJob Type: Full-time Report to: Innovation and RD Director / Lab ManagerJob purpose: At Officina Profumo-Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella, we stand out for our excellence, tradition, and innovation, values that inspire every aspect of our work.In this context, the company are looking for a Laboratory Technician for the cosmetics and fragrance sector, who will be handling the analysis and quality control of cosmetic products and fragrances, as well as conducting technical formulation tests. Responsibilities:Preparation of reagents and execution of laboratory tests under the supervision of RD specialists/Lab manager;Execution of chemical-physical and microbiological tests on raw materials and finished products;Quality control of products during production and post-production phases;Monitoring of product stability and management of technical data sheets;Collaboration for the optimization of formulas and improvement of production processes;Drafting of technical reports and support for updating data entered in laboratory software.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Chemistry, Biotechnology, Cosmetic Sciences and Technologies, or High School diploma of Chemistry Technician;Previous experience in a cosmetic or pharmaceutical laboratory (preferred);Knowledge of cosmetic regulations (e.g., Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009) and those related to food/supplements;Ability to use laboratory instruments (HPLC, GC, pH meter, spectrophotometer, viscometer, etc.);Attention to detail, critical thinking, and analytical skills;Knowledge of the English language (preferred).Equal Opportunity Statement: The announcement is applied to both sexes, according to laws 903/77 and 125/91, and to people of all ages and all nationalities, according to legislative decrees 215/03 and 216/03.
