The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and a strong team player. We seek a results-driven individual who can collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, particularly in the areas of mechanical engineering, electronics, and operations.WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DOSystem level activities related to the design and realization of Optical Ground Stations for Laser Communication and/or Satellite Laser Ranging, including:System definition and sizingSub-system requirements downflow, definition and managementDefinition and management of interfacesEstablishment and maintenance of relevant performance budgetsAnalysis and simulation activitiesDefinition of verification approachContribution to integration and verification activitiesPreparation of documentationIdentification and coordination of subcontractors and supervision of their activitiesI/F with CustomerYOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN OPTICAL ENGINEERMaster’s degree or PhD in engineering or physicsMinimum of 3 years of professional experience in optical systems for laser communicationExperience in one or more of the following application areas:Free space satellite optical communicationLaser beam propagationKnowledge of Matlab/Python/OctaveKnowledge of OfficeResults-oriented, reliable, proactive approach and a good team working attitudeTHESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVERelevant technical knowledge in one of these areas:Adaptive optics and wave front sensing technologyLaser physics and photonicsOptical communicationPointing acquisition and trackingKnowledge of software tools for the design and simulation of optical communication systemsKnowledge of ZemaxADDITIONAL INFORMATIONWorking time: full-time, hybrid as per internal policyBenefit: company GymSeniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeIndustriesAviation and Aerospace Component Manufacturing #J-18808-Ljbffr
