The LEAD (Leadership, Expertise & Accelerated Development) Engineering Program is a 2-year rotational program that allows you choose areas of interest and develop your skill sets. LEAD consists of three, 8-month rotations in 2 to 3 European countries (Eg Germany, France, Italy) that are intended to provide a broad exposure to the engineering and digital functions leading to successful off program placement in a role that will launch your Wabtec career.

You can focus on some of the industry’s most exciting trends in various engineering domains like systems, electronics, embedded software, RAMS, cybersecurity and more. This program also emphasizes continuous education through advanced studies/ certification as well as in-house courses & workshops.

That’s not all! Your program experience will include leadership and technical training, experience on multiple products, contributions to program operations, exposure to senior leadership, and development of a lifelong strong network of professionals.

You can be located everywhere in Europe to apply to this program.

Profile required :
You have a degree (bachelor/ master) in Engineering.
Graduating by summer 2023 or in the past 3 years. A first professional experience is welcome.
You are willing and able to travel and/or relocate within Europe for assignments
You speak fluent English. Any additional language(s) is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
You have a strong commitment to a career in technology with a passion and aptitude for engineering and a good general understanding of engineering fundamentals with desire to continue learning
You have a first prior intern, apprentice, or research experience in engineering
You can solve technical challenges through regular application of common design patterns and identify appropriate patterns for use in problem solving
You are very customer focus, keen to collaborate close to various stakeholders and have strong relationship skills 
You have a good leadership and excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate technical problems in clear and simple terms, strong analytical skills
You are capable to create solutions and challenge the status quo
You are a collaborative team player, sensitive to cultural differences and able to work with multicultural teams
