Operations division's task is to execute Finnair's flight operations safely, economically and in a reliable manner. Flight operations entail the pilot resources, flight planning, flight competence optimization, coordination of and compliance to regulations as well as operational maintenance and ground operations. Finnair Technical Operations is responsible for the airworthiness of Finnair fleet. The key objectives of Technical Operations are safety, reliable flight operations and cost-efficient maintenance processes.

We are now looking for
MAINTENANCE PLANNING ENGINEER
to be a part of the Operational Planning team and work in normal office hours. As Planning Engineer, you will ensure a feasible maintenance concept and airworthy fleet for operations in close cooperation with internal and external stakeholders.
Your other main responsibilities will include:
Participating maintenance planning ranging from work package creation to comprehensive fleet maintenance demand forecasting
Creating scenarios for optimal ground time usage and maximum availability of airworthy fleet for revenue operations
Ensuring realistic and feasible maintenance plan together with stakeholders
Participates in various development activities with stakeholders
Preparing process descriptions, documentation and training material
Ensuring sufficient buffers and means to level scheduled, unscheduled and critical workload
We expect you to have:
Strong collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to work efficiently as a part of the team
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Experience with agile development and understanding of planning principles
Ability to investigate and analyze information, and to draw conclusions
Fluency in written and spoken English and Finnish
Good communication skills
Willingness and enthusiasm to learn and develop
Minimum of three years’ experience in aircraft maintenance, planning, engineering or similar
Experience in aircraft maintenance and knowledge of airline traffic operations will be considered advantages.
