We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Maître for Borgo Santo Pietro, an award-winning five-star luxury boutique hotel located in the heart of Tuscan countryside, surrounded by a 300-acre organic farm, vineyards and wonderful gardens.

The Maître is responsible for overseeing the dining room operations of our Restaurant Trattoria sull’Albero, ensuring exceptional service, and creating a welcoming and memorable experience for guests. This role involves managing staff, coordinating reservations, and maintaining the overall ambiance of the restaurant.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of dining room staff.
  • Greet guests upon arrival, escort them to their tables, and present menus.
  • Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize restaurant flow and guest satisfaction.
  • Train and mentor staff on service standards, menu knowledge, and guest interaction.
  • Ensure that the dining room is clean, organized, and properly set up before, during, and after service.
  • Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
  • Monitor service quality and provide feedback to staff to maintain high standards.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the menu, wine list, and daily specials.
  • Oversee the opening and closing procedures of the dining room.
  • Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.

Candidate profile:

  • Proven experience as a Maître or in a similar role in a high-end restaurant.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Extensive knowledge of food and beverage service.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Fluency in English is requested.

Details of the offer:

Full time, seasonal contract

Location: Chiusdino (SI), Italy

Period: April 2025 – November 2025
