Job Description SummaryAt Avio Aero, a GE Aerospace Business, we’ve been reimagining the power of flight for more than 100 years. We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for both the civil and military aviation.As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the development and improvement of manufacturing processes within the Value Stream ME team. You will work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient production of both NPI (New Product Introduction) and Legacy products. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop your skills in a dynamic manufacturing environment.Job DescriptionEssential Responsibilities:Assist in the design, development, and improvement of manufacturing processes for both NPI Legacy productsSupport the implementation of process changes, fixture improvements, tools selection, and machinery selectionHelp ensure that target metrics are achieved for the processes you support, including OTD (On-Time Delivery), FTY (First Time Yield), product cost, lead time, and OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)Participate in process improvement initiatives to reduce costs and cycle timesContribute new ideas and positive support to current process improvement effortsAssist in the creation of manufacturing instructions, ensuring that customer requirements are flowed down to the process and manufacturing best practices are properly documentedSupport Process Substantiation and FAI (First Article Inspection) activitiesQualifications/Requirements:Master's degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Industrial EngineeringBasic understanding of manufacturing processes and principlesAbility to analyze problems, identify root causes, and provide efficient solutionsAbility to read engineering drawings and specificationsFluency in English and ItalianWork Visa in accordance with local regulation is requiredDesired Characteristics:Strong organizational skillsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to handle diverse activities simultaneouslyAbility to work effectively in a team environmentInterest in Lean Manufacturing principlesBasic knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies is a plusWhat we offerSmart working and work life-balanceAvio Aero, when possible, promotes remote work and encourages a good, healthy and satisfying work-life balance.
