MATERIALS & PROCESS QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER – ABOUT THE ROLE

Officina Stellare is a leading company in the design and production of advanced opto-mechanical systems, with a strong emphasis on innovative mechanical solutions. We are currently seeking a new team member to join our Quality Department, reporting directly to the Head of Quality. As part of a team of three, the candidate will be responsible for ensuring the qualification and compliance of materials and processes used throughout the production cycle. This role requires a solid technical background, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both the project team and the Product Assurance function.

WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO

  • Draft the Materials Qualification Plan in collaboration with the Product Assurance function, scheduling test activities both in internal facilities and external laboratories;
  • Define material and process control plans, entering the information into the company ERP system;
  • Keep the list of qualified materials and processes up to date, supporting the Project Product Assurance in managing Non-Conformities or material and process anomalies;
  • Participate in internal Material and Processes Control Boards and with Clients;
  • Conduct failure analysis for Non-Conformities related to materials and processes.

YOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS FOR A MATERIALS & PROCESS QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER

  • Knowledge of technologies: metallurgy, welding, surface treatment, composite materials, ceramic materials, bonding processes, painting, additive manufacturing, acid etching, crimping, cleaning processes, etc.;
  • Background in Quality Assurance, industrial production, certified laboratories;
  • At least 3 years of experience in managing laboratory tests;
  • Experience in sectors where ISO17025 certification is required;
  • Fluent in English.

  • Contract: permanent;
