Energy Dome is a pioneering clean-tech company revolutionizing long-duration energy storage. With our patented CO2 Battery technology, we enable the transition to renewable energy by delivering sustainable, cost-effective, and scalable storage solutions. We are now entering a new phase of growth with the construction of our first gas holder (gasometro) at the Piacenza plant. This marks the beginning of the production phase for Energy Dome and the first step toward internalizing the manufacturing of some of our most strategic components. We are looking for a hands-on Mechanical Design & Project Engineer to join our team and take a central role in the design and execution of the gas holder system at our new Piacenza facility. You will be responsible for 3D mechanical design and will oversee the technical coordination of suppliers throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate combines strong CAD modeling skills with a pragmatic approach to project execution, including local and international travel when needed. Key Responsibilities Design mechanical components and assemblies for gas holder systems using 3D CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, etc.) Translate functional requirements into mechanical solutions and technical drawings Interface with suppliers and fabrication partners, both locally and abroad Support procurement activities with technical documentation and specifications Participate in installation supervision, testing, and commissioning when required Ensure alignment between design, quality, cost, and project timelines What We’re Looking For Strong skills in 3D CAD design Ability to manage and follow up on external suppliers and subcontractors Willingness to travel occasionally both within Italy and internationally Proactive mindset, flexibility, and ability to work cross-functionally The role is based full-time in Piacenza (PC), Italy.
