Line of Business: Global Business ServicesLocation: CRPOSITION SUMMARYThe Manager – Accounts Payable role will play an integral part in the day-to-day operations and accounting close, with opportunities to work on a wide range of projects as the company scales.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESDay to day supervision of the Accounts Payable department.Lead the Accounts Payable team that is responsible for invoice processing, payments, corporate travel, and corporate credit cards.Continuously improve processes to enable our business to scale Institute and maintain a strong internal control environment on business processes.Work with internal and external teams to resolve purchasing, invoicing and payment issues.Work closely with business systems teams on maintaining and improving underlying systems.Assist the Accounting team with month-end accruals and account reconciliations.Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of employee(s) to ensure goals or objectives are accomplished. Mentors, coaches, trains and develops team.QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTSBachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.6+ years of previous accounting experience.Occasional travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook Internet applications.Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), planning skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, reasoning).Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts.Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.Ability to work with and influence peers and management.Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.PHYSICAL ASPECTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT• Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; and talk, hear and see.• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.* Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or disability.Requisition ID: 13343At Matthews International, what makes us different is what makes us great.
