pThe project: /ppTerra Innovatum's mission is to make nuclear power accessible. We deliver simple and safe micro-reactor solutions that are scalable, affordable and deployable anywhere 1 Mwe at a time. /ppYou will be joining a fast-growing scaleup developing SOLO – a micro modular reactor – able to provide clean energy and radioisotopes where it is needed. You will be supporting the reactor licensing process in the US at first. /ppYou will support the founding team to scaleup the company to a leading tech company supplying much needed energy solutions globally. /ppThis is a unique opportunity to join a high performance team developing a global energy solutions leader. /ppWhat you will be working on /ppAt Terra Innovatum Nuclear Reactor Engineer will be: /pp- responsible for the design, operation, maintenance, and safety of nuclear reactors /pp- analyzing reactor performance, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and developing improvements to reactor systems to enhance efficiency and safety /pp- working closely with regulatory agencies, technicians, and other engineers to maintain safe and reliable reactor operations /ppPotential next steps /ppAs the company is growing fast and plans international expansion in 2026, the right candidate will be considered for regional and/or global responsibility. /ppWhat you will be in charge of: /pulliDesigning, analyzing, and optimizing nuclear reactor systems and components. /liliMonitoring reactor performance and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. /liliConducting neutronic analysis to support reactor design, optimization and operation (criticality analysis, burnup-up calculation, cross sections calculation, flux evaluation, dose calculation). /liliWorking with licensing and regulatory agencies to maintain compliance with NRC (Nuclear Regulatory Commission) and other relevant regulations. /liliParticipating in reactor fuel management, including core design and fuel cycle analysis. /liliAssisting in the development of new reactor technologies and improvements to existing designs. /liliDeveloping shielding calculations and assess the effectiveness of radiation barriers /liliInvestigate radiation incidents, perform dose reconstructions, and recommend corrective actions /liliConducting risk assessments and failure mode analysis for reactor components. /liliProviding technical support and training to operators and others. /liliWriting reports, documentation, and technical proposals related to reactor operations and design. /li /ulpWho we want to work with: /pulliEducation: Master degree in Nuclear Engineering or related field /liliAdvanced knowledge of reactor physics. /liliFamiliarity with nuclear reactor simulation software (e.g., SERPENT, MCNP, SCALE, PARCS, PHYSICS) /liliUnderstanding of nuclear regulatory requirements and safety protocols. /liliAbility to analyze and troubleshoot reactor systems using technical data. /liliStrong problem-solving and analytical abilities. /liliEffective communication skills for collaboration with teams and regulatory bodies. /liliAttention to detail and strong commitment to safety and compliance. /liliAbility to work under pressure in high-stakes environments. /liliExcellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills /liliResults-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities /liliExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English /li /ulpPreferred: /pulliPhD degree /liliIPO experience /liliWritten and oral fluency in Italian /liliAbility to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization /li /ul
