With our competitive pay and comprehensive benefits, we have the right opportunities to fit your life and launch your career today.Northrop Grumman Defense Services is seeking a well-qualified Principal Aircraft Systems Field Engineer to join its dynamic team of technical professionals in the Jacksonville, FL area with the final destination to be in Sigonella, Italy.Conducts technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to product in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations. Troubleshoots technical problems and issues, determines technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommends actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solution. Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications. Conducts technical training and product briefing with customers, vendors and company representatives. Acts as local on-site representative to customers organization.The candidate will have a good understanding of Aircraft systems. The candidate will work closely with the fielded aircraft and USN customer in support of technical issue resolution, Field Service Action Requests, Tech data discrepancies, and mission engineering. They will provide technical root cause evaluations, technical recommendations, data analysis, mission engineering, system integration, and troubleshooting with minimal oversight.Minimum Education/Experience: BS plus 5 years' experience in relevant aviation/field engineer operations setting. 10 years' experience in relevant position/industry may be accepted in lieu of degree.Basic Qualifications:An active DoD Top Secret clearance (SCI eligible)Experience supporting Fielded Aircraft SystemsPerforms technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systemsAnalysis at all levels of total system product to include: concept, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance & diagnostics.Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with Global Hawk or USN Triton customersExperience in ICD development and integrationExperience with multiple disciplines across Systems Engineering, incl. requirements, integration, technical configuration management (CM or Technical Baseline), cyberExperience with root cause investigations, fielded issue investigation, and operational missionsExperience with software sustainmentThis position reports to Naval Station Mayport, FL, USA, however, this position can also be worked from Sigonella, Catania, Catania, ITA.Salary Range: $86,300 USD $129,500 USDEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
