Barilla G. & R. Fratelli is currently hiring a Process Improvement Line Leader for Castiglione delle Stiviere Plant.

The resource will report to the Production Manager and will join a team consisting of 3 process improvement line leaders.

Job Purpose

Implement, promote and encourage, for the competence area/line, a continuous improvement environment in order to improve efficiency and effectiveness in terms of production performance, Quality, Safety and Environment/Energy, involving all the functions related to the production processes and stimulating the engagement of line personnel.

Key Accountabilities

Efficiency and Continuous Improvement: As change agent, intercept opportunities for improvement by analyzing reporting systems and evidence from the field, activating and managing specific teams to define improvement solutions. Provide input to the planner and shift leaders for special requests related to production planning. Take part in defining budget concerning Capex, KPIs, Quality, Safety and Environment. Analyze results and manage recurring issues regarding efficiency, quality, and safety, coordinating the technical area for long-term resolutions. Collaborate with Technical Area, Safety, and Quality to define new layouts/installations of new machines and tools. Process and share specific reports with the functions involved.
Compliance to Quality and Safety Standards: In collaboration with shift leaders, ensure compliance with Quality, Safety, and Environmental standards, implementing all related procedures and supporting external audits. Perform root cause analysis related to complaints/non-complaints and accidents/non-accidents, defining preventive and/or corrective actions.
Technology: In collaboration with the plant Technologist, intercept structural issues related to process standards by monitoring KPIs and defining appropriate adjustments. Ensure resources needed during technological tests to support the technologists.
Operating Environment: Local scope (Plant). Exposed to various relationships, from blue-collar daily interactions to plant leadership team and headquarter functions. Need to synchronize and develop non-hierarchical bonds with multiple stakeholders in the plant.

Qualifications

University degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar fields.
A previous experience in Supply Chain/Operations roles.
Analytical skills.
Knowledge of lean methodologies and continuous improvement approach.
Curiosity, proactivity, and relational skills.
Fluent in English and Italian.
