Project Manager
This position reports to
Service Project Management Manager

Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure the execution of projects according to the technical and contractual specifications, in accordance with the expected times and budgets. The good economic performance of the project as well as customer satisfaction are the primary objectives of this role. You will be in charge of managing Revamping projects for MV, replacement of Protections relays system, MV Shore connection panels, Retrofitting of MV circuit breakers, and LV drawers or LV column additional panels supply, in accordance with contract specifications, scope/time/cost management, commercial negotiations and ability to manage and coordinate the progression of the materials and interactions with Operations and Expediting. The work model for the role is: #LI-Onsite. This role is contributing to the ELSE Service division, Electrification Business Area in Dalmine. You will be mainly accountable for:

Guiding the organization towards a good execution of the project, resolving the arising problems in the most effective way possible by adequately involving the different resources and functions.

Understanding in detail the contractual constraints, negotiate and manage the variants for the purpose of supply, while maintaining the original profitability of the order.

Defining for each assigned project - in agreement with the Master Planner - a general planning that guarantees the delivery of the contract by due time.

Ensuring compliance of the project milestones such as delivery to the Customer and the reliability of the turnover forecasts towards ABB management.

Reviewing the budget defined during the tender phase, highlighting any potential critical issues before the execution of the order, ensuring that the turnover margin is consistent or exceeds expectations and exploring cost-saving opportunities.

Keeping the cost forecast constantly updated during the execution of the order and keeping project risks under control through appropriate mitigation.

Overviewing the execution phase, being the single point of contact for customer and internal stakeholders by effective communication, giving right priorities to the activities and using the escalation formula when needed.

Strictly cooperating with the Project Engineer and the Design to Order, to correctly execute the project by time, by scope, by quality.

Providing appropriate documentation to the client, both in the project execution phase, in the progress report and in the final documentation dossier.

Seeking consistent customer satisfaction, through the submittal of Transactional Net Promoter Score surveys and applying lessons learned for the future.

Qualifications for the role

You have 5 years of experience in Project Management, and Project management certification (ABB or external) will be considered a plus.

Possess an enhanced knowledge of planning, contractual principles and cost controlling as well as a basic knowledge of Medium Voltage switchgears and Circuit Breakers, and Low Voltage switchgears.

You are captivated by problem-solving skills and you’re result-oriented.

Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience is required.

Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English and Italian. Interpersonal skills are an important requirement given the continuous interaction with customers and suppliers.
