Nidec Conversion is hiring a Proposal Engineer for Montebello Vicentino (VI).SUMMARY OF ROLEAnalyze customer’s request for quotation and project’s specificationsPrepare technical proposals and cost calculation for the solutionSupport the sales team during alignment and negotiation processPRINCIPLE JOB RESPONSIBILITIESThe job holder should:Receive customer’s RFQ from the sales departmentPerform site surveys, gather information at site and identify customer’s needs for specific projects Work closely with sales, marketing, project execution and technical teams to provide a complete and competitive technical solutionEstimate the costs of materials, cabling, engineering and site activities for a given RFQProvide breakdowns of material, equipment and other supplies the company will need to complete the projectKeep contacts with suppliers and subcontractors in coordination with supply chain team Prepare detailed documentation to support a bid for a projectParticipate in customer meetings for such as solution presentation, technical clarification, etc.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCEEducation and QualificationsElectrical Engineering University Degree or High School DegreeAutocad/3D (preferred)Experience2-3 years in HW or SW design3 years Experience in Proposal activities is preferred Technical background in Drives, Motors and AutomationGood knowledge of site activities or site management is preferred but not essentialExperience in Sales Teams management is preferred but not essentialABOUT USNidec Conversion is a $600M Business Unit of Nidec Corporation, a $18 Billion+ global company, headquartered in Milan (Italy) and footprint in more than 10 countries.
