The ideal candidate is a character. He/She is passionate for the hospitality business.
He / she is highly motivated, professional presented and investigates the needs of the hotel, working closely together with the other departments, to exceed expectations.

Reports to the General Manager.

PRESS DUTIES

Single press visits and group press trips:
– In collaboration with PR agencies and the Director of PR: organisation and management of all press stays (individual and groups) from booking, transportations and planning itineraries to departure and follow up emails. This includes taking care of internal communications and preparing ODS ( stay email order) to various Hotel’s departments
– Constant monitoring of journalists stay from check-in to check-out (meals, activities, special requirements, dietary needs etc)
– Coordinating interviews with GMs, Chefs, Barman etc. if required

PR reports & press releases
– Research obtained media coverage on SignalAI and data analysis to finalise international PR reports that must be submitted to HQ on a monthly basis
– Write press releases and upload them into MEDIA HUB platform (eng+ita) including briefing notes, on request of the regional office, to generate awareness about the hotels’ latest news
– Constant update of the PRESS Global Database and proactively research new key editors / media outlets.
– Handling translation of press releases (eng+ita), when required

Photo/video shootings
– Help the Marketing team with local Coordination of photo/video shootings for media opportunities, including preparation of internal ODS and briefing of internal staff involved. Monitoring and taking care of the crew’s stay to ensure smooth running of productions.
– coordinate other shootings individually
– Managing photoshooting costs with the Marketing team.

EXTERNAL & INTERNAL PR DUTIES

External PR
– Design, plan logistics and promotion of in-house special events (thematic aperitifs,concerts, etc) in support of the Brand’s pillars
– Search for sponsorship in support of events and in respect of the Brand directions
– Promote hotel and brand awareness both at national and regional level by maintaining good relationships with local key opinion leaders

Internal PR
– Department’s training at the beginning of the season, delivering the brand ambitions accordingly to the PoA and presenting the current year campaign
– Provide writing and editing support to the HR teams with the creation of at least two Staff magazines per season (in charge of PR trainee)
– Organisation of moments of encounter with the staff to celebrate important results achieved by the hotel, such as the mid summer and end of season party
– Daily/weekly meeting and calls with Regional teams (PR and Marketing)
– Creation of leaflets to promote in-house events

Events management
– Under monitor of the Regional DIr PR, Conceivement, definition and realisation of all major events (Film festivals Taormina/Casole, Mitico) and minor (Curiosity circles, Twist and Ice, Franco Pepe collab, IME/LMH) events
– Promoting special happenings taking place at the Hotel and in the area

CONTENT CREATIONS

Brand, experience design and content creation
– Following strategic instruction of the Regional Dir PR, develop and support global stories reflecting Belmond’s pillars and Brand identity
– Creation of annual new experiences for press (and private Guests) aimed at discovering the territory, unveiling behind the scenes beauties and generating connections among stakeholders
– Content creation, copywriting and editing of texts related to experiences

Marketing and Social Media
– Support (when needed) content creation for the Hotel Social Media channels.
– Support in the creation of marketing collateral materials (brochures, events invitations, in-house flyers)

OPERATIONAL

Operational
– Support the operational behind Press Trips: preparation of internal ODS, PO , organisation of internal and external activities
– Assistance to various departments in the production of printing materials
– Creating, monitoring and closing POs on Workday tool reporting to finance
– Support for the realisation of CSR initiatives
– Management of special projects given by GMs (ex. management of invitations to summer party events, management of direct contacts with Guests)

We require:
Knowledge of Hotel Management software such as HMS;
Excellence in Pc & Social Media skills;
Fluent in Italian and English and a third language is required;
Professional experience or sound scholar background within the hospitality business;
Strong communication skills;
Willing to grow within the hospitality business.
