If you are looking for stimulating challenges and the chance to contribute your ideas for process improvement in an ever-growing company, IRCA is the right place.Purpose of Position: We are seeking a highly motivated RD/Quality Manager for Anastasi, a company of Irca Group that operates in Bronte (Sicily) belonging to the Dry Fruits business, which is growing rapidly.The ideal candidate will coordinate the RD, Quality Control and Quality Assurance departments to ensure the respect of quality standards for products and processes, handling certifications and customer relations worldwide and innovation.He/She will be accountable for managing the Teams, accelerating people growth and understanding customer requirements to be satisfied in order to support the business.He/She will act in functional coordination with central RD and Quality Functions.Description of Main Activities/Responsibilities:Monitor business processes to verify protocol application and compliance with predefined proceduresPerform Gap analysis versus Group Quality and Food Safety standards and close gaps where applicablePlan and conduct quality control activities and internal inspectionsLead external quality audits from external certification bodies or external customer audits, follow up the execution of needed corrective actions afterwardsAssure keeping current certifications while continuously improving the standardsAnalyze all customer complaints and ensure a fast and professional response is given to customers while also implementing the needed corrective actionsCoordinate and supervise the analysis of raw materials and productsAnalyze and process customer satisfaction and customer quality dataEvaluate external suppliers in coordination with central supplier quality and ensure that they comply with technical quality requirementsPrepare reports and calculate KPIs related to the function towards continuous improvementTrain staff on: quality, hygiene, food safety, food security, sensory, RD processes, etc.Develop new products based on customer needs, get products set-up in the systemsOversee tests and trials and assess how effective processes and products areCollaboration with other departments (Operations, Procurement, Sales,…)Requirements:Education: preferably Master Degree in Food Science/Engineering or other disciplines or equivalent experienceProfessional Skills: Knowledge of food technology and food safety standards, in particular BRC, IFS or similar quality standards; Knowledge of current food industry legislation; Ability to use the main analysis tools in the food analysis laboratory; Knowledge of production processes in an industrial context; People ManagementExperience: 7+ years in Quality roles and at least 2/3 years in the specific roleLanguage Skills: Proficient in Italian and EnglishComputer Skills: MS office, PLM and ERP system (a plus)Behavioral Requirements: Organizational Skills, Leadership Abilities, Proactiveness, Effective Communication, Ability to meet Commitments and Deadlines, Attention to details, Problem SolvingWe welcome applications from candidates of all genders, backgrounds, identities, nationality, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, parental responsibilities, age, religion, or belief.
