You will be supporting the reactor licensing process in the US at first. /ppYou will support the founding team to scaleup to a leading tech company supplying much needed energy solutions globally. /ppThis is a unique opportunity to join a high performance team developing a global energy solutions leader. /ppWhat you will be working on /ppTerra Innovatum Radiation Protection Specialist will be: /pulliresponsible for ensuring the safety of personnel, the public, and the environment by monitoring and controlling radiation exposure in nuclear power plants, research facilities, and other nuclear-related environments /liliimplementing radiation protection programs, conducting safety assessments, and ensuring compliance with federal and industry regulations /liliwork closely with health physicists, engineers, and regulatory agencies to minimize radiation risks and maintain safe operations /li /ulpPotential next steps /ppAs the company is growing fast and plans international expansion in 2026, the right candidate will be considered for regional and/or global responsibility. /ppWhat you will be in charge of: /pulliDeveloping, implementing, and overseeing radiation protection programs in compliance with NRC (Nuclear Regulatory Commission), EPA, and OSHA regulations. /liliMonitoring radiation levels in nuclear facilities using dosimetry, survey meters, and remote sensing equipment. /liliConducting radiation exposure assessments and ensure worker safety through ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles. /liliEstablishing and maintaining contamination control measures, including decontamination procedures and protective equipment protocols. /liliProviding training and guidance to plant personnel on radiation safety, emergency response, and proper handling of radioactive materials. /liliAssisting in regulatory inspections, audits, and reporting requirements related to radiation protection. /liliDeveloping shielding calculations and assess the effectiveness of radiation barriers. /liliEvaluating radioactive waste management procedures to ensure compliance with disposal regulations. /liliInvestigating radiation incidents, perform dose reconstructions, and recommend corrective actions. /liliMaintaining records of radiation exposure, contamination surveys, and safety compliance reports. /li /ulpWho we want to work with: /pulliEducation: Master degree in Health Physics, Nuclear Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. /liliExperience: 3-7 years of experience in radiation protection, nuclear plant operations, or health physics (entry-level positions may require internships or co-op experience). /liliCertifications (Preferred): CHP (Certified Health Physicist), NRRPT (National Registry of Radiation Protection Technologists), or equivalent industry credentials. /liliStrong understanding of radiation physics, dosimetry, and contamination control. /liliProficiency in using radiation detection instruments (e.g., Geiger counters, scintillation detectors, ion chambers). /liliKnowledge of NRC, EPA, and ANSI standards for radiation protection. /liliFamiliarity with radiation shielding design, ALARA principles, and regulatory compliance. /liliExperience with radiation safety software and modeling tools is a plus. /liliStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities. /liliEffective communication and training skills for educating personnel on radiation safety. /liliHigh attention to detail and commitment to regulatory compliance /liliExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English /li /ulpPreferred: /pulliIPO experience /liliWritten and oral fluency in Italian /liliAbility to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization /li /ul
