Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the processes in maintaining and preserving the efficiency of all the electrical and mechanical maintenance on Laboratory testing equipment following the Maintenance Procedures, the Machinery instruction manuals and the processes in maintaining and preserving efficiency of all testing equipment, resulting in optimization of technical resources. The work model for the role is: #onsite. This role contributes to the ABB Electrification Business area, particularly for the Smart Power Division in Bergamo, with the main stakeholder being the Research and Development Department. You will be mainly accountable for: Defining the details, the test sequences, their methods of execution or testing procedures, the equipment and instrumentation to be used, with reference to the applicable standards, preparing the necessary test set-up, the required measuring instruments, connecting the device under test on the testing plant and executing tests;
Analyzing the test results according to the applicable standard for checking the compliance of the product tested;
Producing and developing activities required for the processing of test reports for tested equipment and issuing the reports;
Proposing improvements in the existing test techniques, based on experience and use of new equipment, particularly for test and measurement equipment;
Assisting and supporting customers during testing activities.
Qualifications for the role
High School Diploma in the Electrotechnical field or Bachelor Degree (3 years) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic field;
Highly skilled in Electrotechnical Knowledge;
Ability to demonstrate manual skills, analysis capacity, and interpretation of results;
Qualified in computer skills (programming knowledge and office software package and PLC programs);
Passionate about precision, teamwork, and have a high desire to learn and an attitude for problem-solving;
Comfortable communicating in Italian and English;
Availability to work in rotating shifts.
