pProcess RD Engineer, 2D Materials /ppbr/ppLocation: Pisa, Italy /ppbr/ppWho are we looking for? /ppbr/ppWe are seeking a highly skilled Process RD Engineer to develop new technologies that enable the integration of 2D materials into industry-leading photonic fabrication processes. As an experienced scientist and research engineer, you will have strong expertise in polymer preparation optimization, particularly for applications involving the integration of 2D materials. /ppbr/ppWhat will you be doing? /ppbr/pp• Develop and optimize polymer preparation processes for the integration of 2D materials in photonic applications /ppbr/pp• Investigate and improve material interfaces, focusing on the interactions of 2D materials after the transfer process /ppbr/pp• Apply advanced chemical methodologies to enhance the growth and stability of graphene for high-performance applications /ppbr/pp• Conduct in-depth analysis and characterization of materials to drive continuous improvement in process efficiency and reliability /ppbr/pp• Stay at the forefront of scientific advancements in graphene and 2D materials, integrating best practices into our research and new process development /ppbr/pp• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new processes within our overall graphene-integrated-photonics process flow /ppbr/ppWhat we need to see? /ppbr/pp• Master’s or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field /ppbr/pp• Strong expertise in polymeric materials and their role in the preparation and integration of 2D materials for photonic applications /ppbr/pp• Experience in working with 2D materials, including their synthesis, characterization, and integration in various applications /ppbr/pp• Knowledge of CVD growth for graphene synthesis /ppbr/pp• Hands-on experience with characterization techniques such as Raman spectroscopy, SEM, TEM, AFM, and XPS /ppbr/pp• Familiarity with cleanroom environments and nanofabrication techniques /ppbr/pp• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven, detail-oriented approach /ppbr/pp• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills /ppbr/pp• Experience working, communicating, and collaborating in a cross-functional team /ppbr/pp• An ability to adapt to a fast-moving start-up environment, striving for innovation and excellence in everything you do /ppbr/pp• Eligibility to work in Italy /p
