Job Summary Manage a group of experienced technical writers to produce customers' operation and maintenance documentation. Ensure on-time provision of O&M deliverables and milestones in accordance with project schedule and budget. Ensure preparation and delivery of Operation & Maintenance Manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalog, and Training Program Plan. Accountabilities: Manage a group of experienced technical writers to produce customers' operation and maintenance documentation Ensure on-time provision of O&M deliverables and milestones in accordance with project schedule and budget Ensure preparation and delivery of Operation & Maintenance Manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalog, and Training Program Plan Ensure the preparation of Technical specifications for subcontractor's manuals and training courses Ensure Technical Writers internal teams effectively prioritize high-priority feature release work with other content, experience, and process improvements Develop an understanding of how our customers use the manuals and what content needs are helpful Review and implement customer feedback Identify opportunities for process improvement, including new editor software, and coordinate the implementation and communication of these changes Ensure the review of operation and maintenance manuals delivered by the subcontractors Participate in projects, bidding, and delivery phases within project schedule Required Skills/Knowledge: Pioneering Spirit Integrity 2-5 years' experience as a project manager or people manager with a technical documentation team Minimum 3 years' railway system engineering experience and knowledge of the integrated systems that comprise a metro system Ability to develop a working knowledge of technical products, processes, and applications Ability to learn new technical skills quickly Knowledge and experience in application of the railway Technical-Logistic support documentation, associated with any technical system, either rolling stock and/or a rail vehicle International experience and ability to manage international projects Knowledge and ability to review maintenance documentation from sub-suppliers Techniques and ways to handle the relationship with a supplier in an integrated supply chain approach Willing to cover a global role Excellent communication skills Person who is easy to work with Negotiation Skills Leadership Skills Experience in modern Lean and Agile Organization Desired Skills/Knowledge: Operation and Maintenance Processes RAMS and Maintenance Plan process Planning and organization Experience in editing software programs Education/Qualifications: Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical Engineering Languages: English Proficiency Equal Opportunity Employer: Hitachi Rail is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from all qualified candidates.
