Progress Rail Signaling, part of Progress Rail, a Caterpillar company, offers complete signaling solutions under the ECM brand for any railway infrastructure need all over the world. /ppbr/ppstrongemuJob Purpose /u /em /strong /ppDefine, produce and verify all the application data and parameters needed to customize each specific solution, either at System level or at Subsystem level (e.g. IXL, SCMT Wayside, ETCS Wayside, etc.), in order to deliver all the engineering typical drawings of the execution design for the specific application. /ppbr/ppemuJ /u /emstrongemuob duties (Responsibilities and Accountabilities /u /em /strong /polliDefine, produce and verify all the application data and parameters needed to customize the customer solution, either at System level or at Subsystem level. /liliProduce the typical engineering drawings of the preliminary and execution design, which can be, depending on the system / subsystem level: /liliFor IXL (Interlocking), produce: /lili Control Tables / Route Tables /liliTrack insulation and bonding plans ; details of the rail polarity and cable arrangement / insulated joint of the track circuit. /liliPrinciples of cables layout, in station and between the stations. /liliStation equipment location. /liliSupport the PE in the Bill of Materials (BOM) preparation, including equipment codification request (Part Number) and quantities. /liliManage all documents from the customer project to carry out application engineering studies during all project life. /liliManage properly understanding the relevant ECM rules, processes, methods and tools (eg: HMR9 development suite). /liliGeneral features /liliApplies and ensures application of processes and standards with no deviation or shortcut, especially for SIL 4 subsystems. /liliRespect strict independence between principles definition and principles validation (2 independent engineers for these activities); /liliContributes to continuous improvement (ROE, process, tools, …); /lili Manages his/her work products under configuration management. /li /olpbr/ppstrongemuExperience and Qualifications /u /em /strong /polliBachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferred electronic, electric, computer science, telecommunication) or Technical equivalent studies / experiences; /liliIT skills: MS Office suite; Autocad; MS Project; Windows O.S. as user; /liliGood experience in specific application design at Sub System level (eg: Wayside, Trainborne etc.) ; /liliGood knowledge in Engineering Design methods and tools; /liliLanguage skills: /liliItalian mother tongue (or equivalent) /liliEnglish knowledge: B2 or equivalent /liliOthers : (French, Spanish, German……) /li /olpbr/ppstrongemuWorking with us /u /em /strong /ppOur people are at the heart of what we do at PRS.
