Position Title: Security Engineer III
Location: New York, New York

Position Responsibilities:
Provide Tier 2 and 3 support for all information security related issues, including penetration testing, network and service configuration, advising on security policy compliance, handling data confidentiality issues, and monitoring and responding to emerging threats. Contribute to the development of Information Security policies and processes, perform root-cause analysis of known exploitable vulnerabilities, and gap analysis of existing capabilities and controls. Conduct application security reviews. Design and build scalable preventative mechanisms that remediate the problem at the source of application security issues. Provide information security support during events impacting Tier 1 customer-facing services. Identify and troubleshoot recurring issues and resolve the problem by proposing or delivering the solution and/or escalating issues to executive leadership appropriately to achieve full resolution.
40 hours / week, 8:00am-5:00pm, Salary Range $175,100/year to $236,900/year

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Position Requirements:
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or Technology, Mathematics or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or Technology, Mathematics, or a related field and five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation as equivalent to the Master’s degree and one year of experience. Must have one year of experience in the following skill(s): (1) delivering scalable application and infrastructure information security solutions; (2) application of threat modeling or other risk identification techniques; (3) experience working with system security and web based vulnerabilities and remediation techniques, including penetration testing, source code review, configuring advanced runtime and static vulnerability testing tools and the development of exploits; (4) programming in Java, C, C++, Perl, Ruby or Python; and (5) coordinating responsibility of technical security tasks.
