In both the Allison Transmission and Allison Off-Highway Drive and Motion Systems business units, our team strives to Improve the Way the World Works. /p pLearn more about this role and how you can begin driving your career forward! /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liHandle all the design aspects of Drivetrain Component across the whole lifecycle: /li liConcept development, feasibility study and design analysis of new products; /li liReview and support product design and contribute in validation activities (definition of test and/or validation programs); /li liAnalyze and support application process and approval; handle prototype, production release and implementation /li liManage the technical communication with the customer, in agreement with Sales and Program Management /li liSupport the optimization of current product ranges and the development of future engineering designs. Experience/knowledge in material engineering will be a plus. /li liWork in cooperation with other functions, suppliers, plant personnel and others to implement cost reduction, methods, process and product improvements /li liContribute actively in the identification of new solutions to solve current or future customer needs. /li /ul h3Competencies and Behaviors /h3 ul liEnglish, upper intermediate (B2) level as minimum for both spoken and written. Others language will be appreciated. /li /ul h3Other Skills /h3 ul liContinuous improvement oriented-actively proposes process improvements; champion and drives change initiatives under his/her responsibility area /li liAble to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment /li liProactive with high interpersonal, communication and organization skills. /li liGood process and teaming skills as this position involves a great deal of interaction with Dana different Departments, Corporation and Customers. Must be self-starter and able to work towards department goals with minimal supervision. /li liAvailable to travel, if necessary, on medium (European) and long (Intercontinental) range for duration from 1 week to 1 month. /li /ul h3Qualifications and Experience /h3 ul liMaster Degree in Mechanical, Materials, Automotive, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent. /li li2 - 4 years minimum of professional experience in the Industrial sector working on the development of complex mechanical systems: previous experience in analysis (calculation), design development of powertrain system will be appreciated. /li /ul pHigh computer’s skills in Windows OS, Microsoft Office suite and internet. /p pKnowledge of CAD Tool (Creo), CAE (Abaqus, Romax, Adams or similar) and PLM (TeamCenter) tools is considered as a plus. /p pAllison Transmission is an equal opportunity employer.
