WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Software Developer - Space Missions. Join our client’s team in Rome. With over 30 years of experience, our client is a trusted partner of European governments and international organizations, specializing in IT and space services, supporting Earth observation missions, data processing, and applied research. Your Tasks Oversee processes of harvesting, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load), and data aggregation within the data warehouse system. Conduct data mining and analysis to identify and address functional anomalies. Support converting satellite data to EO-SIP format by developing new converters. Update existing converters for compatibility and functionality. Your Skills and Experience Secondary school diploma (or higher). 1-3 years of proven experience. Experience designing and developing interfaces between multi-systems. Programming skills in PL/PostgreSQL, Java, and/or Python. Experience writing complex SQL queries. Data processing and transformation skills. Good command of English (B1 or higher). Nice to have: Linux OS, shell scripting, BI tools (e.g., Tableau), ETL procedures, Nagios, XML/XSD, EO data products. Personal Skills Proactive problem-solving. Responsibility and success orientation. Customer liaison skills and team spirit. Curiosity and sharp mindset. Availability to travel within Europe. Ability to work in an international environment.
