We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our kitchen leadership team. As the Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in managing daily kitchen operations, ensuring food quality and consistency, supervising kitchen staff, and maintaining a safe and clean environment. You will work closely with the Executive Chef to develop menus, implement culinary standards, and deliver exceptional dining experiences.

Employment Type: Full-time, 6 days a week

Location: Villa Torre Bianca by Emily Hotels, Trigganello (Polignano a Mare)

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations

Train, coach, and evaluate kitchen team members to support their development

• Lead and mentor kitchen staff to maintain high culinary standards
• Supervise food preparation, cooking, and presentation
• Ensure food is prepared to the highest quality, taste, and presentation standards
• Manage inventory, ordering, and receiving of kitchen supplies
• Enforce food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness protocols
• Help create and test new recipes and seasonal menu items
• Monitor portion sizes and food waste, ensuring cost efficiency
• Step into the Executive Chef role in their absence
• Collaborate with front-of-house management to ensure seamless service
• Address and resolve any kitchen or staff issues quickly and professionally

Qualifications & Skills:

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong experience as a Senior Line Cook
• Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Deep knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen sanitation practices
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Creative and passionate about food and hospitality
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
