This is an outstanding opportunity to play a pivotal role in driving continuous improvement through the PPI Business System. As the Sr. Manager, you will ensure operational excellence and Lean Transformation, achieving efficiency targets detailed through collaborative efforts with the Site Leadership Team (SLT).
Assignments, specific/primary activities:
Lead, mentor, and support the site PPI Team.
Support the standardization of processes and continuous improvement training materials.
Facilitate Continuous Improvement events such as Kaizen, VSM, and Workshops to implement the PPI Business System and achieve efficiency goals.
Analyze and define operational opportunities by conducting detailed operational, value stream, and financial analyses, interviewing key personnel, and observing operations.
Develop specific proposals for operational improvement projects to management based on assessed opportunities.
Directly lead approved operational improvement projects, ensuring they achieve desired objectives.
Champion an operational excellence culture using methodologies and tools from the PPI Business System.
Establish relationships with Thermo Fisher leaders to understand their business objectives and develop supporting improvement initiatives.
Develop a deep understanding of the site’s capabilities.
Assist in implementing new approaches for improving business processes.
Act as an internal consultant for sharing and implementing standard methodologies for operational excellence.
Assist in the education and training on operational excellence principles.
EH&S duties & responsibilities:
Align with Art. 20 - D.Lgs. 81/08 – Employees’ Duties.
Ensure health, safety, and environmental safeguards in your workstation and each plant area, aligning with company procedures.
Requirements:
Master’s degree in Engineering, Sciences, or Business or equivalent experience.
Confirmed experience in continuous improvement methodologies such as lean manufacturing or six-sigma.
Expertise in leading continuous improvement activities in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry.
Validated experience in implementing Lean Management Systems.
Project Management experience.
People management experience.
Proficiency in the English language.
Technical and Informatics knowledge:
Ability to think and work at both strategic and project levels.
Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices.
Strong knowledge of statistical tools.
Familiarity with key financial metrics.
Personality traits:
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Outstanding interpersonal and collaboration capabilities.
Strong social skills – verbal, written, and presentation.
Ability to work with and influence a wide range of interpersonal levels.
