Topcon Precision Agriculture is looking for a qualified individual to fill the role of a Senior Test Engineer for our Concordia test facility. 

This candidate will be responsible for performing product development testing at the Ag test site located in Concordia, Italy.

Core Job Responsibilities:

The position will include the following responsibilities
Execute Product Validation and Verification in an efficient and effective manner.
Develop test and research plans for regular and investigating testing procedures.
Improve and expand lab and field-testing facilities and capabilities.
Understand customer requirements and make sure products meet those requirements.
Maintain test equipment located at the facility.
Manage issue-tracking databases and prioritisation of corrective actions.
Analyze test data to evaluate failure modes and offer solutions to development engineers.
Operate AG vehicles such as tractors, harvesters, articulated tractors w/ and w/o implements, equipped with machine control systems and perform field testing.
Troubleshoot reported problems and provide technical support to sales and customer support teams.
Work with and communicate with Topcon’s technical support, sales, production, engineering, R&D, and other departments on issues affecting product quality and customer satisfaction.
Coordinate and Support local Beta test sites.
Position Accountability/Scope:

Indicate the reporting relationships, products, budgets, throughput, level, and purpose of contacts (internal and external), or other scope measures that are key to this position.

Minimum Job Requirements:
A degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Agricultural engineering.
Previous experience with AG steering applications, land surveying, civil engineering, GNSS infrastructure, or related fields.
Excellent troubleshooting/analytical skills
Well - organised with the ability to handle multiple and competing priorities
Ability to work with individuals from a variety of technical and cultural backgrounds
Working knowledge of MS Windows pack (Word, Excel, Teams)
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and move in, on, and around agricultural equipment.
Fluent in English and Italian
Preferred candidate Requirements:
( 5 years of related industry experience.Knowledge of GNSS receivers and Control theory (PID, Kalman filtering).
Experience with C++/Python/Matlab for data postprocessing and automation test development.
Experience in operation of AG vehicles and implements.
Experience with JIRA/TestRail/qTest or similar
Working Conditions:

Indicate the physical demands and environment of the job and the basic physical conditions needed to perform the job.
The job will be performed in an outdoor environment in and around agricultural equipment as well as in a lab environment with documentation being completed on a PC in the office.
Both domestic and international travel could be required.
Due to the spread of employees around the world meeting outside of normal business hours could be required
