About the Role
This Managing General Agent and Program Administrator is part of one of the largest privately owned brokerage firms in the world. Their customized insurance programs provide solutions across a variety of industries including financial services, outdoor activities, transportation, legal, retail, non-profits, healthcare, and more. They are very interested in growth and are looking to add entrepreneurial industry experts or teams who are looking to partner, grow, and leverage the existing business to support their goals. The ideal candidate will be someone who has expertise in specialty areas or product lines, who has worked in the MGA and/or wholesale environments, has established industry relationships, and who is looking for a highly incentivized and lucrative compensation model that pays a portion of their revenue generation.
Duties & Responsibilities
Develop relationships and drive new business revenue within a specific risk category or niche market
Act as a subject matter expert regarding products, services, tools, resources, and proper vendor partners
Provide technical expertise to submit profitable business requests through renewal and RFP processes
Develop in-depth research and education process to assess carrier markets and their risk appetites
Skills & Experience
Minimum of 5-7 years of proven sales experience within the MGA or wholesale broker space
Demonstrate ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Established relationships within geographic area with brokers/agencies
Experience working with one or multiple programs
Special interests including: healthcare, gov’t-sponsored, flood, and financial institutions
Compensation, Benefits, & Perks
$150,000 to $200,000+
