Wild Paws Midwest Animal Sanctuary (Wild Paws)Board Member Job DescriptionMission: To rescue and provide a safe habitat for displaced wild animals while promoting coexistence and preservation of their ecosystems.This is an extraordinary opportunity for an individual who is passionate about wildlife and the environment. The Wild Paws Board of Directors is a working board which provides mission-based leadership and strategic governance, therefore the expectation is to actively collaborate with our team on an ongoing basis.Specific responsibilities include:Leadership, governance and oversightActive participation and forward thinking to determine the choices for the organization and to to ensure that board resolutions are carried outProviding ethical financial oversight and stability by upholding Wild Paws foundation of transparency and accountabilityStrategic planning and regular evaluation throughout the year of Wild Paws goals and outcomesPersonal accountability and preparation in reviewing agenda and supporting materials prior to board meetingsFundraisingBoard Members will commit to participating in Wild Paws Mission and to our financial sustainability, ensuring that Wild Paws can credibly solicit contributions from foundations, organizations, and individualsQualificationsPersonal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a passion a commitment to wildlife conservationEnthusiasm to educate the public about the preservation of wild animals and their ecosystemsBoard terms/participationBoard meetings will be held monthlyService on Wild Paws Board of Directors is without remunerationExpectation of minimum 5-10 hours per month and more during peak times (i.e. annual planning, summer season, events, etc.)Most of the work can be done remotely and from anywhere; some BOD meetings and events will be in-person, however if not local, remote arrangements can be madePlease supply letter of interest and resume to contact@wildpaws.org by 5/17/2024For more information on Wild Paws, please visit wildpaws.org #J-18808-Ljbffr
